La Renardais, at Plouer-sur-Rance, is an elegant country house Bed & Breakfast established in 1993, where you will be made to feel "at home away from home" when you arrive. Built some 150 years ago, it has been carefully restored by us to provide modern-day comforts for our guests in a traditional setting. The house stands about 400 meters from the river Rance itself, 10 minutes down-river from the fascinating medieval town of Dinan. The coast (and beaches) are about 15 minutes away at Dinard / Saint-Malo; Mont Saint Michel and Cap Frehel are 40 minutes east and west respectively from La Renardais. "A favourite area, blissfully little known..." is how Patricia Fenn describes Plouer-sur-Rance in her well known French Entree18 Guide to "Chambres d'hotes in France". A peaceful and safe setting for your stay in France. Enjoy a LEISURELY BREAKFAST on the private terrace at the rear of the house set in a large floral garden described by Alastair Sawday "...a triumph of British talent and Breton weather..." in his renowned French Bed and Breakfast Guide

The Manoir du Chagnot sits on a hill in Le Bazois, 15 kms from the Morvan mountain range and Nature Park that runs throughout Burgundy from north to south. Since the Middle Ages, Le Bazois is a region where the aristocracy held large properties and built numerous chateaux and manoirs that to this day, grace the countryside of rolling hills with forests and pastures. Le Manoir du Chagnot is one of the very few of these fine houses that are open to the public. The region is also known as the home of Le Charolais, one of France's finest bovine breeds. The oldest part of the manoir was built as a maison de maitre at the beginning of the eighteenth century by Vauban, Marechal de France under Louis XIV and his military architect. In the course of the nineteenth century, the newer part, with its two towers, caves, salon, dining room and bedrooms on the first floor, was added by the De Saint Aubin family. In the last quarter of the twentieth century, Monsieur et Madame Rolland de Chambaudoin d'Erceville, saved the house from decay caused by the preceding decades of neglect. In 2003, Aat Peterse acquired the manoir and spent a full year on renovating it to meet the standards of Gites de France, equipping it with all modern conveniences.

Chateau Ribagnac is more than a romantic castle that has been lovingly converted into Chambres d'Hotes; it is a breathtaking country retreat. Built in 1647, the chateau has accumulated character and style over the ages. It perfectly combines the charm and atmosphere of the old with the comfort and convenience of the modern.Patrick and Colette were, until recently, city lawyers and decided to fulfil their dream of setting up their own country guest house and private dining room. We moved from Teddington, in London, to the Haute Vienne in 2003 after searching much of south-west France for our ideal property. We decided to buy a Chateau rather than a hotel so that we could make it our own, and not have the constraints of a formula hotel set-up. The Chateau provided the facilities and charm of a small hotel, but without a hotel formality. We found that the French idea of Chambres d'Hotes suited the Chateau and our ideas of hospitality, as well as providing a more personal and out-of-the ordinary experience for our guests. When we first visited Chateau Ribagnac, we both knew instantly it was the place for us, and we think you'll feel the same about your holiday here. English run B&B in a 200 year old merchant's house in the centre of a charming bastide village, close to the Main Square and restaurants. Relax in comfort in this delightful B&B. The bedrooms are spacious and relaxing - the beds made with Egyptian cotton sheets and duvet covers, duck feather pillows and finished with colourful quilts and cushions. The modern bathrooms have fluffy towels and l'Occitane soaps. Wake each morning in the heart of the Gers, all rolling hills, sunflower fields and neat vineyards. Breakfast is taken on most days in the shade of the garden's east-facing terrace, built into the town's ramparts. Numerous sports are a short drive away - horse riding, swimming, golf and canoeing. Spend the day sightseeing -historical sites abound, there are delightful little towns and villages dating back to the 100 Years War with cathedrals, churches and chateaux, or just gently relax with a book and a glass of rose on the terrace in our flower filled garden. Try the local gastronomy - the foie gras, duck breasts, great value wines and the Armagnac - tours of the local wineries and distilleries are de rigueur. Then there are markets day and night as well as the numerous fetes and festivals which last all summer long.

This is a large 100-year-old tradional stone house with a 11-metre pool.
There are several unique points about this B&B.
- Only one party of guests are looked-after at a time, whether both rooms are booked or just one. Similarly, guests eat breakfast in private - in the dining room or on the terrace or by the pool. The owners use the pool but not when guests are around it so ensuring privacy.
- There is plenty of space, inside and out - the garden is about two acres.
- The house overlooks the pretty village of Chissey en Morvan, which has a shop, bar, retaurant and garage within 5 minutes' walk or one minute's drive.
There are great views in all four directions, including from the B&B rooms.
- The village is geographically "dead-centre" in Burgundy so the vineyards, destination towns and historical sites are within easy reach. The beautiful Parc du Morvan is on the doorstep. The house is in the Parc itself, with designated walks and cycle routes passing the door.
- Apart from the pool, complete with pool-house, decking and recliners, facilities available include use of washing / drying machines, telephone and other communication.
- There is a fridge / freezer allocated for guests' sole use. Other facilities are possible - especially if requested in advance.

WELCOME in LE MOULIN DE PALBAS!
'Le Moulin de Palbas' is a 16th century estate and its atmosphere still reflects the serenity of the monks, the former occupants. Since the farming as such was abandoned a long time ago, its 33 hectares consist of woods, prairies, marshland and a lake. The mill that gave the estate its name is no longer there, but has left us its foundations...
Here we have created four rooms with character.
Each room has its own showerroom and toilet and a private entrance, and a view of the lake and the forest. On the ground floor a fridge/freezer and a washing machine are available to our guests.
Our rooms are classified 3 'ears of corn' by Gites de France and their General Conditions apply.
The meals
'Encounters' is a key word in le Moulin de Palbas, encounters with nature, with other people and with different cultures. The time around the evening meal is usually a privileged moment.
On the ground floor (approx. 120 m2) you will find a living room which still has the original fireplace, a bar and a dining room to be used freely by our guests. In the living room you will also find our library of over one thousand books in English, French and Dutch. In the dining room, next to the bread oven, are a piano and a television and the kid's corner with books, games, colouring pencils, lego etc.
Of course the meals served at our table d@ hotes (not on WEDNESDAY; on reservation only) come from all over the world: from the Berry region, the rest of France, Europe and Africa or other more exotic countries. You will be enjoying them seated at the refectory table, together with the other guests. Meals will be served outside if the weather permits - if it's too hot we'll have dinner under a canopy! Please let us know if you have any special wishes regarding dinner (vegetarian, allergy, diet...)!
Regarding breakfast, taken outside as well if possible and included in our price; you will love the fresh milk and eggs, the home made bread and jams, ...
The surroundings
'Le Moulin de Palbas' lies at 5 kms from the center of a village of 450 souls, Pruniers, in the heart of the Berry region, 250 kms South of Paris, in the Indre. The Berry region is rich in history ('les Ducs de Berry) and culture (Liszt, Chopin, George Sand, Alain Fournier, Balzac,...), but has not been discovered by tourists yet. The rivers Cher and Indre flow quietly, the landscape is hilly with meadows and forest.
Don't be surprised to meet deer, wild boar, rabbits and hare and a number of different birds.
Activities and relaxation
The nearby forest and the country roads invite you to long or short walks (several villages have set out walks going from 5 to 40 kms) and bike-tours, or trips on horseback. Do bring your pet, if it's a cat, dog or horse: they will love it here too! In the after-season the weather is usually still warm and nice in this region, and you won't be able to resist gathering mushrooms. Even in winter does nature spoil us...
If you come to stay here in summer, you will enjoy our pool (outdoor; 10m*15m), go fishing our watch birds. The kids will go feed the chicken, find the eggs, say hello to the sheep and the pony; they will be having fun in the playground, playing table football or table tennis while you enjoy your drink on the terrace. In the nearby village you can play tennis, there are several itineraries in the neighbourhood.
Golf
For golf-fans on every level this region is truly paradise: you will find three golf courses within 40 km from here and a fourth just a bit further away, south of Bourges - that should be enough to organise a friendly competition! Les Sarrays is at 15 km from here, Les Dryades at 35 km, the Golf du Val de l'Indre op 40 km. Each course has its own characteristics but but they have several advantages in common: they are created in the countryside, with lots of space, the prices are more than reasonable and they are never crowded - so nothing to stop you from spending some quality time there! For more information you can go to this site http://www.golfsducentre.com (in French).
Culture
If you prefer cultural activities, you won't be disappointed either: two of the most picturesque villages in France are to be found in the Indre region. Interesting daytrips - for all ages - can be made to the Loire chateaux and their famous vineyards, the Noirlac Abbey, the Valle Noire and the house of George Sand in Nohant, the 13th century watermill in Angibault, the gardens in Orsan, the romantic music weeks and the festival of traditional music, the Futuroscope, the Palace Jacques Coeur and the cathedral in Bourges, the Parc Naturel de la Brenne and the Parc Animalier de la Haute Touche, France's biggest outdoor zoological garden. In addition to all that a number of events are organised from spring through autumn: music festivals, village festivals, markets and flea markets... organised to enrich life in the countryside with interesting encounters. Check the various sites in the left column for more information (sorry, some of them are only available in French).

Le Clos De Ligre is an elegant residence dating from 1852 in a quiet village 6 km south of Chinon, with large sunny gardens, swimming pool, courtyard and private parking. This former gentleman farmer's house is now a comfortable Guest House, full of character, originality and happy surprises. The five attractive, comfortable bedrooms, each with its own individual style, have been renovated with elegant simplicity blending traditional charm and contemporary chic: terracotta-sponged walls, creamy beams and colourful modern fabrics with original tiled floors and stone fireplaces. Traditional French family dinners with local wines are served in the family dining room next to the open fireplace in winter, and in the garden in the shade of the old lime tree in summer.
The quiet, peaceful atmosphere make it a perfect refuge for world-weary travellers. It is an ideal base from which to visit the Abbey of Fontevraud (where the Plantagenets are buried), the chateaux of Chinon, Azay le Rideau, Villandry, Saumur and Langeais, and the vineyards of Chinon and Saumur. After many years living in Paris and travelling around the world, Martine moved to the country to combine her love of the area and her love of entertaining. Artistic and anglophile, she takes great care of her guests, ensuring that they have a relaxed and unforgettable stay in Ligre.

Situated southwest of Paris, near Dreux, Chartres and Maintenon, Les Chandelles bed and breakfast is situated in a renovated farm house in a quiet French village.
It is a perfect base for exploring the west and southwest sides of the Paris region and is a handy stopover on your way from the Normandy coast to southern France.
When we decided to turn Les Chandelles into a B&B, our goal was to offer our guests a cosy, quiet accommodation in a private setting. We also wanted to give you a chance to share in our twin passions: golf and horses.
Jean-Marc is currently a pro at the prestigious Racing Club de France Golf Club in La Boulie, near Versailles. He regularly accompanies golfing parties on outings at one of the many top-notch courses situated on the southwest side of Paris.
Part of our spacious grounds is home to a paddock and stables. Catherine's horse loves to meet children and would be more than happy to share her space with any overnight equine visitors.
Les Chandelles has five bedrooms, two of which were opened last year. The other three were recently renovated. All rooms feature a television and full private bathroom.
The bathrooms are modern and fitted with a bath-shower combo. There is lots of hot water for everyone.
The rooms are situated in a separate building adjacent to the main house. They have a private entrance, so you can come and go as you please. The rooms are up one flight of stairs, at the top of which is a common area complete with a fridge. The rooms are centrally heated in winter.

Though only 15 km from Annecy and 1 km from the Lake, close to all cultural activities and sports, La Grange de Julie is a quiet and peaceful house in a garden, with surrounding views of the mountains.
La Grange de Julie has spacious common rooms, a big open fireplace, a piano upstairs, heirloom furniture and modern gadgets, all the charm and comfort of a private family home.
The rooms (each with an ensuite bath) are different, comfortable and colourful, with hand embroidered (and sat on) cushions and books all over the place (mostly in English : Sylvie's mother is American, so Sylvie speaks and reads English). Sylvie also being very French will translate for you the meaning behind the words also and not to be found in dictionaries : the meaning of smiles, shrugs and a lift of the eyebrow).
There are some things old, and some things new, quite a few old toys... almost everything has a funny story to it, and the story goes on, written with the help of our guests.
Please visit our website for more information on our very lovely region - and to see more pictures of our difficult to describe one-of-a-kind house !

Sun, snow, mountains a wonderful backdrop for this grand former bourgeois mansion house in the heart of a 4 star campsite. The bedrooms are constantly being improved and are furnished with period furniture. But the real attraction of this place is the surrounding landscape, glaciers, lakes and the proximity to mountain sports. Another plus is that you can take advantage of the campsite facilities including the swimming pool, gym and sauna. Breakfast is served in the campsite restaurant room.

Set in a quiet street only five minutes walk from the town and five minutes from beautiful woods, the house offers double, twin and single rooms, some with en suite facilities. The garden is for all guests to enjoy, with shaded places to sit and read. There are steps down to the river where trout swim in various pools. The views from the house are fabulous hills, the waterfall and the cathedral, which is is lit at night.
Dinner is available and often becomes like the United Nations around a large table. FUN is the main ingredient. Painting holidays, tutored by David, are taken by people from all over the world, which gives the dinner table an extra dimension.
Many of our guests are pilgrims on the St. Jacques De Compostella trail, which runs 200 yards from our home. Walking trails are placed all around the town.
Our dogs welcome guests from any walk of life and enjoy their company.

Our home dates from 1592 and we have kept, where possible, its original architecture of exposed beams, wafer bricks, stone window surrounds and rough-plastered walls. The small salon is very cosy with its log-burning open fire-place.
The bedrooms give onto the garden at the back of the house, they are spacious, quiet and comfortable. Our garden is not overlooked and it has several terraces where you may relax in the sun or perhaps you could be tempted into a visit to the "trinquet" with Alex and Gilbert who will take great pleasure in showing you the intricacies of one of the Basque racquet games, la pelote !!

The magnificent Chateau de Siorac, sited in a dominant position contemplating the valley of the river Isle, dates back to 1550. In 1842 it became the dwelling of Joseph Louis Camille de Beaupoil 'Marquis de Saint-Aulaire' and his beloved wife Alphonsine d'Estourmel, who started a major renovation of the Chateau. Today, after a conscientious modernization and restoration, the Chateau de Siorac opens its doors warmly as luxurious rental accommodation and French Bed and Breakfast
Inside the Chateau you will enjoy the craftsmanship of those who built it. A monumental fireplace dating back to the 17th century dominates the dining room , ancient wood paneling covers the living room, the entry hall and the dining room, and the wall paper carrying the initials of the Beupoil family dresses the living room with superb elegance. Massive exposed oak beams covered in intricate plaster work, mosaics, delightful parquets, 5m (15ft) ceilings, fireplaces, stone walls and floors, all are part of an ancient theme that has only improved in appearance with time. Outside you will be delighted by a wealth of wild vegetation and formal gardens that stretch over an area of approximately 40 acres. The newly planted formal gardens contain around 2000 boxwoods, 400 rose bushes, trees and rhododendrons. The wild woodlands flourish with oaks, pines, chestnuts and acacias, and many well priced varieties of edible mushrooms are readily found during the autumn. You are welcome to explore as much as you wish of this plentiful environment.

Welcome to Hotel L'Enclos, located in Perigord, just 5 hours south west of Paris. Hotel l'Enclos is the former estate of Count Souffron that we have completely restored. The interior of the courtyard is terraced and landscaped with hundreds of roses, plants, and evergreens. We are surrounded by farmland and also a protected forest with many walking trails. We have 6 cottages on our property which are situated in various outbuildings (granges).

The Longsard Estate appears as early as the beginning of the 16th century. The estate that you are about to visit was built around the second half of the 18th century by Jean-Charles de Brun, councillor to the king and Master of the rivers and Forests of the Province of Beaujolais. The gardens at Longsard were laid out in 1792 and have only been modified slightly for ease of upkeep.
The estate was acquired by Olivier and Alexandra, the current owners, in 1997 as a family home, with the purpose of bringing it back to life. Among the numerous activities are bed and breakfast, rental of the 18th century wine cellar for parties and weddings, seminars and last but not least the Beaujolais wine

Bed and Breakfast in a 19th Century (1812) Maison de Maitre (Masters House)
Close to Avignon, Nimes, Arles, Pont du Gard and only ten minutes from the beautiful town of Uzes, capitol of the ancient Duchy.
This area of Provence is wonderful for those who love to walk; cycle; paint; canoe; swim, shop or partake of the local culinary delights. Hill villages, chateaux and vineyards cover the landscape. We are an hour or so away from the Camargue, and the Cevennes, the Ardeche is only half a hour away, not to mention the rest of Provence. The mediaeval walled city of Avignon is nearby as are Orange, Nimes and Arles with their remarkably preserved Roman remains. Ten minutes away is the beautiful town of Uzes, an ancient Duchy much of which was built in the 15th. and 16th. Century and earlier. With its teeming sidewalk cafes, restaurants and shops, it hosts a Saturday Provencal market that must be amongst the most colourful and picturesque in Europe.
Les Marronniers has been our home since 1989, and after ten years of restoring it, we decided to open it up to a small number of paying guests. We thought about it a lot and were wondering how we would feel with strangers in our home. Then we realized that Les Marronniers has always been full of visitors. The difference was that they were family and friends. So we decided to think of our guests as friends coming to spend sometime with us.
This has worked very well, both for us and for our guests. More
importantly, many of our guests have become our friends. In fact, our website (which we hope you will visit) was created by a guest who loved his visit with us. The real sign of happy visitors is that they come back - - and they do!
Les Marronniers has full central heating so it's very comfortable throughout the year. The weather for the grape harvest in autumn is usually beautiful. The winters are frequently sunny and mild for the truffle fairs and the spring is fresh and green for the fruit blossoms. These are all great days for a leisurely lunch and maybe an extra glass or two of the local wine.
Four course evening meals are available with Aperitifs, Wine and Coffee: 45-euro per person.
Awarded Four suns (stars) from the Association Francaise B.B. France.
Three keys (stars) from the Conseil General de Gard Tourisme.
Three stars from Fleurs de Soleil Association. We hope to see you soon at les Marronniers.

Set in the upper town, the gallery-house l'usage du monde has four calm and cosy rooms and proposes to experience contemporary art differently. It combines a contemporary art gallery with a guesthouse, so that artists can present their works in a double space. Guests can live next to art during their stay, sharpen their look and let the poetic intensity of the works permeate their quotidian. Along with exhibitions, l'usage du monde favors exchanges of knowledge. This year, five thematic weeks are organised between creators (colorists, comedians, poets...) and the public, all receptive to the magic of the bay. Besides, l'usage du monde enables foreign artists to stay in residence. The house is very comfortable (large sunny terrace, garden, lounge with a fireplace and high quality firm beddings) and its atmosphere evolves as the exhibitions change.

Bed and Breakfast offering Farm Yard Silver Service
RiverStone Farm is situated in the South West of France (Haute Pyrenees) nestled in a secluded valley on the outskirts of Saint Lezer with all amenities available in the nearby town of Vic en Bigorre (3km).
Vic en Bigorre is centrally located for both Pau and Lourdes international airports both within a 50 minute drive.
A haven for those who want an environment of comfort, tranquility and farmyard hospitality after a long day of sight seeing, outdoor activities or house hunting. The farm is set in 15 acres of lush pasture surrounded by a natural forest rich in wildlife with an abundance of deer. Birds of prey glide over head in the updrafts watching the meadows below which are grazed by our resident alpacas, humming softly to their young as, along with our guests, enjoy the un-spoilt surroundings.
