HOUSE DESCRIPTION:
Le Clos De Ligre is an elegant residence dating from 1852 in a quiet village 6 km south of Chinon, with large sunny gardens, swimming pool, courtyard and private parking.This former gentleman farmer's house is now a comfortable Guest House, full of character, originality and happy surprises. The five attractive, comfortable bedrooms, each with its own individual style, have been renovated with elegant simplicity blending traditional charm and contemporary chic: terracotta-sponged walls, creamy beams and colourful modern fabrics with original tiled floors and stone fireplaces. Traditional French family dinners with local wines are served in the family dining room next to the open fireplace in winter, and in the garden in the shade of the old lime tree in summer.
The quiet, peaceful atmosphere make it a perfect refuge for world-weary travellers. It is an ideal base from which to visit the Abbey of Fontevraud (where the Plantagenets are buried), the chateaux of Chinon, Azay le Rideau, Villandry, Saumur and Langeais, and the vineyards of Chinon and Saumur. After many years living in Paris and travelling around the world, Martine moved to the country to combine her love of the area and her love of entertaining. Artistic and anglophile, she takes great care of her guests, ensuring that they have a relaxed and unforgettable stay in Ligre.

Description of Le Pressoir:
Le Pressoir is in the old wine press room. It has its own entrance and looks over the front garden. It has a canopied bed in an alcove, and the wine press has been transformed into a stylish coffee table next to a real tree growing through the floor.
Two steps lead down to the large, comfortable bathroom

Description of La Treille:
La Treille is on the first floor of the main house. A large bedroom with views over the back and front gardens, it is decorated around a vine theme.
There is a canopied double bed (140 cm) in an alcove and an extra single bed (90cm) for an adult or child. A baby's cot is available. The bathroom has a fine view over the garden and the countryside and is a great place for admiring wonderful sunsets!

Description of La Fruitier:
This Junior Suite is ideal for a small family or a party of 4 people.
It has its own entrance and a view over the back and front gardens and the swimming pool.
The main bedroom has twin beds (90cm) and a dressing room.
The adjoining room has 2 single beds (90cm).
Price: per night for double occupancy 90 euros: extra person 30 €
Description of La Roseraie Rouge:
On the second floor of the main house, it combines charm and originality.
A very large room with magnificent roof beams, it has a king-size bed and a comfortable sitting area. Two steps up, the bathroom is harmoniously integrated into the room, with a view over the back garden, the swimming pool and the countryside.
Separate dressing room and toilet.

Description of La Roseraie Jaune:
On the second floor of the main house, under a high ceiling, this original and charming bedroom has original 19th c beams and trusses.
It has a splendid copper-framed double bed (140cm) and a comfortable sitting corner. Two steps up, the bathroom fits harmoniously into the bedroom and looks over the garden and the swimming pool.
